Keeping these three elements in mind, I have chosen an advertisement that complies with Sturken’s observations nearly optic images; initially I chose a beauty ad for Neutrogena products and therefore reworked it into an anti ad containing a counter-hegemonic twist that exploits the interrogation of products on helpless animals. The advertisement beforehand pictures two moldings applying mental hospital to their faces. This fail of th e ad touches on how Sturken believes codes and conventions of society are infix at butt our ads; embedded within this advertisement are the social norms that assure women to wear writing.

There are no words in the advertisement, except for a small render at the bottom of the page; this effect makes the consumer concentrate altogether on the faces of the models. The model on the left side of the advertisement has a makeup product containing an earthy mud touch sensation smeared about one side of her face; the excuse of the makeup matches with the darker tones of the picture, resembling the color of mothe r fucker and giving it a very inborn look. ! The second model, applying color to her eyebrows, has a bit of makeup dusted on her cheek and hand, once again emphasizing a truthful more natural look. Here, the consumer is closely experiencing the makeup through the ad craving to have it; the consumer is purchase into the product, as well as a whole experience behind the product.
